You don't get out of chores that easy. LOL. We still expect you to do a thread now and then when you have the time. It'll be the three of us now, posting threads when we can.
Thank you Steelerfan.
It'll be the 'or something'.
Gosh! I'm sounding like someone died..
We know how you feel. Us, too.
I'll still be in touch with you and Sam. I'll have a good read for you about Christmas and the big event next Summer at Wilsons Creek.
You better. I still want to post your journals here. Love the Labor Day one, a Christmas one would be great, too.
Perhaps we'll meet someday.
Sam and I always imagined a day when the Foxholers could meet around the backyard grill and visit with one another. It could still happen, if not we'll shoot for meeting one person at a time. :-) Next summer in Oregon we'll plan a long weekend cook out and just see who is able to show up!
Indeed. Thanks for hitching a ride with us. Your daughter's interview thread is part of history now! I've got to see if we can train our lab pup to keep a pancake on his head. LOL.
Thank you rabidralph.
Thank you, our ever 'present' manna. ;-)
Grrrr.
An Irish blessing. Thank you Valin.
Thank you ex-snook. We learned a lot from you. God Bless you and thank you for your service. You WWII guys are so dear to us. We cannot thank you enough.
Thanks!
Thanks for all of your work. I'll get motivated and finish the index and re-post it. Perhaps you all could be encouraged to do a weekly thread to keep things going. And I still owe you all the background work for the 'greatest battles'.
DON'T GET ME STARTED!!!!
I can (and have) gone on a two hour rant!
I carry a small copy of the constitution with me and have been known to pull it...slap it on the table and say "SHOW ME! Where does it say the government can do that!"
Welcome!
I was initially looking for a better pic that I know exists, but wasn't able to find it.
It seems to have vanished completely.
Farely well . . . the Foxhole has been an inspiration to make the study of history a permanent benchmark in my life. The daily threads have been earmarked with integrity and heart that have touched many lives and formed many friendships. May the one true God, the Father of Jesus, continue to prosper your business, bless your families and see abundant health and wisdom in your futures.
XOXOXO
Don't know when I'll get up your way but when I do you guys can count on at least a dinner and some fun.
I spoke to Dave yesterday and hes definitly into the Gatling Gun idea. Hes located a manufacturer of authentic 1862 model guns in .44 caliber or Government 45.70. The gun will cost about $10,000.00 including the carriage. He wants to do more Indian War stuff farther out west. 500 rounds per minute has got to be a hoot! Rhonda is sort of resigned to the fact that shes married to a semi-mad man.
Glad you enjoyed the Labor Day piece. I'll send you some pictures of Fort Scott so you'll have an idea of the place.
Like I said we'll be in touch.
Lee
LOL. Sam has been trying to get this poor pup to hold a little biscuit on his nose. I keep telling him he's too young yet. Only 13 weeks old. LOL.
Your welcome. Thank you.
You have had quite a job catagorizing the threads. You know I'm still a year behind in saving and listing them.
Weekly is still too much but between Sam, me and alfa6 when he's able maybe once a month?? We'll have to see how it works out.
