Willie and Joe bump for the Saturday Freeper Foxhole

And the spirit of Willie and Joe is still out there if this pic from Iraq is any indication.

Hoping that all the denizens of the Foxhole have a great day

Regards

Thanks for sharing the great pic. But, can you please confirm what the sign says?

I can decipher "Ms Fonda, we're holding your regular seat in Tikrit?"

Correct?

I find the Russian 14.5 mm a good cartridge. The standard bullet is about 1,000 grains, about seven to the pound, with a muzzle velocity of 3.300 feet per second. The standard projectile will penetrate one inch of high quality steel armor (called "RHA") at a one mile range.

The ZPU 4, pictured, has 4 guns with a total of forty shots per second.

There were a gob of these weapons in Iraq. An efficient use of this system is to draw helicopters well within it's one mile range, say by getting an American unit in trouble in a big city or while an American helicopter is attempting a rescue.
