Your post brought back to mind Katyn Forest.

When one racks one's brain for something Josef Stalin did that was not vile and unworthy, one thing comes to my mind.

Stalin killed off nearly all of the Old Bolsheviks. He even got Trotsky. Cleaned out the Kronstadt mutineers. Bumped off Yasov the Chekist. Zinoviev. A bunch more. A most well deserved fate for each and every one. (For each guilty one he killed he killed maybe 100,000, maybe 1,000,000 people unjustly. Katyn. However, God is just.)

Even so the evil Stalin did something, this one thing, that might be worthy of praise. Trotsky was a total murderer.

Cannot think of anything else I can approve of that Stalin did, though.

Looks like you folks may be putting Jaruzelski on trial. Be very interesting to hear what he says to justify himself. I hope you can help me with this when the time comes as I have no Polish whatever.

A Jeruzelski trial would make some great Foxholes. The Cold War was War, no two ways about it. You folks were on the front line.

Shucks, you know, hey, so was I! Long time ago, now. We won, finally. Now it is time to mop up the sewage.

We have our own Communists over here, and a great big bunch of them. Unfinished work.

In an American military Court Martial trial the judges are only interested in what happened. I hope Jarulzelski is tried in the same way so that the facts become clear so that we can see what really happened.
