VetsCoR will be raffling off a Remington Model 870 Wingmaster shotgun (pictured above, less the sling and butt stock ammo carrier) on November 11, 2005. You don't need to be present to win. Here's the rules:
1) The raffle is open to everyone over 18 years of age who is a) a US Citizen, b) legally competent to own and possess a firearm and c) a resident of a city or state which does not restrict or prohibit firearms ownership.
2) Tickets are $2.00 each, and can be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to VetsCoR, 1976 Havasu Garden Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404. Include your check or money order, payable to VetsCoR, for the number of tickets you want. Do NOT send cash via the U.S. Postal Service.
3) All ticket requests must be received at VetsCoR not later than October 24, 2005. The drawing will be held in Lake Havasu City, AZ on Veterans Day, November 11, 2005. The winner will be notified by mail or email, and the winning ticket number and holder will be posted to the top of this page after the drawing.
4) The raffle winner is responsible for paying shipping charges and for insuring they have made arrangements with an FFL holder who is willing to accept delivery of the firearm and complete BATF Form 4473. The winner is also responsible for any fee charged by the FFL holder to complete the transaction and deliver the firearm to the winner. The FFL holder must mail a signed copy of his/her FFL to:
Pima Arms Co.
2105 McCulloch Blvd. #3
Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403
5) Upon receipt of a check or money order (payable to Pima Arms) to cover shipping charges, and a signed FFL from the dealer handling the transaction for the winner, Pima Arms Company will ship the shotgun via UPS to the FFL holder for delivery to the winner. Call Pima Arms at (928) 855-6771 to obtain the shipping charge total.
6) In the event the winner selected in the drawing on November 11, 2005 turns out to be NOT qualified, a second ticket will be drawn to determine a backup winner.
7) Each person entering the raffle is responsible for checking the laws of their own city or state and for compliance with any restrictions.
The shotgun for this fundraising raffle was donated to VetsCoR by the Executive Director.

The auxillary is bumping to the top.
I thought it might be.
I've donated a gun or two to my own Friends of NRA banquets. It's always a little sad to see a favorite go to someone else - until I think about the worthiness of the cause.
