WE PRAY FOR OUR LOVED ONES
We pray, oh Lord, for our loved ones
Far away from us now in a foreign land
Fighting to keep us safe, to keep our way of life.
Let freedom be the sacred promised word
Especially for those children
Now living in these times
Trapped in this violent storm
Called war and terror.
May they be given time to grow up in a world
That will offer them peace and freedom.
Let us now, oh Lord,
Stand firm and strong in our beliefs.
Let we not forget our duty to our homeland,
Our loved ones so far away from loving arms.
For in these, our darkest of days,
We shall endure. We shall stand tall.
We shall be strong. We shall carry on,
Keeping the memory of all those who have
Given their lives, fighting to keep freedom alive.
God Bless all men and women
Over in Iraq this night --
May God watch over them. Amen

Isaiah 40:31 (King James Version)
31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Mine!!
Along the road to Baghdad, 'you never know when youre going to get hit

Vince Little / S&S Soldiers help load supplies on a Camp Taji convoy last month. About two months into a yearlong deployment, many troops with the 87th Corps Support Battalion say that while incidents have been few, they are definitely something to worry about.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts
they perform for us in our time of need.
GOD BLESS AMERICA.

It was all real clear, and easy to read, until I got to "
It's waving goodbye to a figure on a ship or a plane or a bus and trying not to blink for fear you'll loose sight of them, those extra seconds so precious." Then my monitor went all fluky. It was so blurry, the reflection caused everything in the room to get blurry. It took a couple Kleenex to clear it up so I could read the rest.
Thanks to all who pay the price for our freedom. And as for the small price I pay, thank you all for making it worth it.
