I hope you don't have to stay. If so, keep Carlos pinned down or you might get in trouble.
Not that you couldn't get in trouble without your evil twin.
Neat flag-o-gram. Thanks PE. Some unsung heroes.
Hugs!!!!!

Hey, I got a really spiffy shirt and certificate in the mail the other day. Very cool. Thanks.
Howdy ma'am
Good morning Sam.
Some days I have to fly by in my "stealth" aircraft.
On this day in history in 1954, Irina (Irene, "a" is the feminine ending) Ratushinskaya, a Russian poet (Grey is the Color of Hope) was born.
My wife is a very great admirer of Irina Ratushinskaya. "Grey is the Color of Hope" is her story of her experiences in GULAG. Her crime was lack of enthusiasm for the Soviet State. She barely survived her experience, and certainly would have died except for Western political pressure leading to less harsh treatment and release after only ten years or so of her sentence. Her health was destroyed in the prison camps.
I found her narrative too feminine for my taste, though, of course, I am a very smelly, gassy, obnoxious brute of a man (so I am told, have daughters, beautiful girls, sweet, smart, and brave).
Sweet, smart, and brave, and very feminine, describes Ratushinskaya well, also. During her stay in GULAG her husband took great risk trying to get her out. As heat built up from the West (President Reagan - Iron Lady era), he was told to knock it off but Irina Ratushinskaya (in smuggled documents written on cigarette papers) told him please do not slack off, not the tiniest bit. The thugs came to beat him up, natch, but the hubby is a serious student of the fighting arts and left some lying and the others running. Lucky and skillful man going for broke. Filled with ice cold fury.
Anyway, they are very close to this day. He is very protective. She has been hurt very badly, easy to see she almost did not make it. I will bet a hundred bucks he has never gone out on her.
Had to do a little "connect the dots" on the husband's story, since he will not discuss his own experiences. The fight with the thugs is accurate to sources. The other details are from Ratushinskaya. Husband is maybe 55 these days, still a tough cookie.
Born in "1678 Antonio Vivaldi Venice, Baroque violin virtuoso/composer (4 Seasons)"
The most beautiful music of which I am aware. J.S. Bach is not as cool.
Anything taboo to the Islamofascists.
LOL!
