We are really close to finishing all the build out. Of course it would have helped if the electrician would have shown up last week. Grrr. Maybe Monday. We need the wires dropped through a pole so we can set up our cash wrap and I can have my kitchen table back.
You're welcome, Happy New Year to you DD.
Who us? No way. Its a short day though, we continued our work, Sam hung lattice clouds along the perimeter of the windows, looks good. We're actually going to catch a movie tonight!!!
LOL. You'll at least give it the ol' college try!
Good evening Mayor.
My, my, how like the LBJ bragadoccio "I'm going to teach this little sob [Ho Chi Minh] a lesson"--and both these Democrat presidents were "desperately trying to avoid World War III".
Truman removed SecDef Johnson and General MacArthur in 1951, and here's another roe from hell:
Truman, now deeply concerned, convened the NSC again, emphasizing that the US had to avoid being sucked into a general war against China. He reaffirmed the prohibitions against bombing Manchuria and Yalu dams and hydroelectric stations.
My poli sci department head Dr. George F. Lipsky a State Department career veteran (and a domino believer) made it clear that international relations require that the players acknowledge a "concept of limits".
Implication being barbarians mean rules are off.
Truman and LBJ were nice-nice to the Chicoms and North Vietnamese commies and we therefore lost tens of millions in each war to acquire political defeat.
In Iraq al Qaeda murders five Iraqi policemen in the street yet U.S. citizen Medea Benjamin raises 600K for our Fallujah enemies, while Ramsey Clark throws in with Saddam's defense team.
Ted Kennedy and John Kerry and other sewer flotsam and jetsam continue to bemoan the ignomity of the treatment of the POS abu Ghraib detainees.
A cleansing is taking place as we approach W's second innauguration and Iraq's first election.
Iraq echoes our warnings to Damascus and Tehran to back off--warnings sure to be ignored.
Let there be no more detainees to be festooned with panties on the head. Let them wear lead instead.
Limited war is akin to partially pregnant or slightly dead, a bankrupt concept from the era of Stimson's dictum against reading other gentlemen's mail.
Throw mullah from the train into the abyss.

New project for tomorrow, replace the door knob on the bath room door. The current one is getting real hard to open. The one I bought today was the wrong one. So I will have to take the old one with me to show them what I need. I got part of the front porch painted today. It's raining now so I don't think I'll get any painting in tomorrow.
