Myth: A disproportionate number of blacks were killed in the Vietnam War.
86% of the men who died in Vietnam were Caucasians, 12.5% were black, 1.2% were other races.
Will this EVER be put to rest? I Doubt it, it's to useful to the left.

Hey snippy - those stats are thought provoking...
Thanks for the ping Valin!! The one that go me was this one:
9,087,000 military personnel served on active duty during the Vietnam era (August 5, 1964 - May 7, 1975).
WOW!! Over 9 million. That's an awful lot of heroes to be thanking!! God bless every last one of them!

Thanks, very informative post.
I wonder what that stats. are on those smelly and freaky scum bags who spat on the soldiers coming home from Nam who are now members of United for Peace, MoveON, Pax Christi and the DemocRAT party? It looks like they brainwashed their children too since there were many young people out there protesting the Republican convention in NYC. They were very: rude, insensitive, mean spirited and lacked manners and any form of civility. I wonder why none were in the churches praying for peace?

I read that Vietnamese built miles long tunnels under the ground. Did you see something like that ?

Happy Sunday to you all!
I hope you're having a great day today. Took my son to see "The Incredibles" today - very funny stuff.
Thanks for today's thread. When I see the statistics you cited I am more grateful than ever that the Kerry campaign is a flaming, defeated wreck today.

Was pretty common. False entrances where you would find them.
Most Americans cannot read sign and so could not find entrances. (By "sign" I mean the natural patterns in the ground and plants and human marks so you can see what shouldn't be there.)
Not as easy to find entrances as all that. The holes I saw were very little, would not fit my shoulders except with arms straight over my head. Entrances about 25 cm (10") by 35 cm (14"). Maybe 40 cm wide (16") and 60 cm (20") tall inside I've been told. Not rare to be smaller. I never went into one, don't have near enough guts. They smelled terrible. Besides, I was a rear echelon guy, and have only encountered them three times. One ville with five houses had ten openings that we found. Spooky times.
