Great quote! Reagan sure had a way of putting the truth out in public.

"I don't trust Putin."
I also don't trust him and it isn't any anti-Russian phobia.

I originally heard the story on...can you believe it?...PBS!
I was in the boonies and the only station I could get on the radio was Public Radio. They were interviewing Thomas Reed, the author of the book At the Abyss: An Insider's History of the Cold War.
The funniest (?) part was when the military satellites picked up the explosion and thought a nuke had gone off in Siberia. The White House was in full panic mode until the DCI told them "Don't worry about it."
It was a spell-binding story. Seems all the spys (on both sides) from that era have stayed in touch and get together occasion to swap war stories.
I think I may have to read that book.

So exciting and I bet nerve racking. I'm backing you and snippy 150%!!!
Well, the Weekend of Finn Funn is under way. Tomorrow I will be there selling my books. We have a large crowd of folks coming nearly 300. WOO HOO.
Two of my daughters will join me in the afternoon. There is an evening banquet we will do together. Tons of door prizes and the grand prize a gorgeous quilt. We have been selling tickets since early Spring for this event.
We are a very busy club. We offer two Scholarships to kids with Finish blood and good marks! Those monies are raised by selling coffee mugs with a map design unique to our area.
To: bentfeather
It is both fun and nerve racking. Thanks for your 150% backing for Sam and me.
I bet you come home with no books! Good luck on your gathering.
