Sure those boys weren't Navy?LOL. They helped!
Throughout the remainder of the night, Poling and Personnett strafed and rocketed muzzle flashes, directed Navy and ARVN artillery, and marked targets for the Navy A-7s that arrived on schedule at 6:30 a.m.

I had put in a request for extension of tour but a Chaplain of all things signed "no" on the chit.Perhaps the Chaplain got that no from a "Higher Authority" who wanted you home. ;-)
