When you watch a mortar strike at around 200 meters, it lets you know there is nowhere for you but here and now. That all you may have interest in can not be considered now. So you are left with mortality and time ticking away. Sometimes it is no wonder why so few people join the army.

"These guys are starting to get a little down."
They sure are....I sent a little pick me up, and I hope it helps.
Thanks, I am sure we all needed it once.
I'm kinda curious as to how many times you're going to post this?
Well I was hoping to get them some response. They seem a little down and on the blogger posts no one seem to notice except your negative comment. Why do you have some objection to soldier's blogs. Seems pretty therapeutic for the guys out there on the line.
"I'm kinda curious as to how many times you're going to post this?"
How about until none of our soldiers are no longer down in the dumps. It's not too much to ask now is it!
Thanks.
I just posted one. Look for "Zhangliqun".
Great posts too, zhangliqun. The questing Cat is near Balad and they are having heavy casualties there in last couple of days. I think that is why he was a little down. Bald is in the Sunni Triangle and is probably not a nice place to be. Not talking about the 110 degree days.
