It's OK, Sam. Don't worry my friend. I'm watching the Farewell... hard to contain the tears, oh man.

Oh yes, I couldn't stop crying. I wish I were tougher.

Fischer's book "Washington's Crossing" has a lot of information on the Howe brothers, and having recently read the book, I noticed the error immediately! LOL.
SAM, I've learned that each one of the Freeper Foxhole posts is sure to be a treat, and will have information I've never seen before.
One of the ancient Greeks (or was it one of the Romans?) said that a person who does not study the past is doomed to remain forever a child. You and snippy are sure helping a lot of us grow up!

Thanks WaterDragon, but it's the posters like you who provide additional info, correct errors or dispute accounts. We couldn't do it without all of our readers.

I thought I was about 'teared out' too, til they played taps for Reagan in Simi Valley. It was so appropriate...playing taps for their Commander in Chief.
I knew just how Nancy felt, not wanting to leave the casket at the end. There's such an incredible desire to touch that person, just once more, who's gone. Those are the moments really bring home the loss. God bless this wonderful lady.

Those are the moments really bring home the loss. God bless this wonderful lady. Amen. It was so sad seeing the pain and anguish reflected on her face, and the dignity and respect she demonstrated throughout the funeral services.
