Thought for the day :
"If reality wants to get in touch with me, it knows where I am."

I keep hoping it can't find me.

Nice picture. The only reason I might consider ever going to NY would be Fleet Week. ;-)

We're in a slight risk for severe weather today and tonight.

How is everyone in the house hold.? Little one sleeping well?

We're all doing well. Kidlette is sleeping well, but on her very own schedule. BTW, as you can no doubt guess, her schedule varies.

I know these are very busy times for you. I appreciate the time you take selecting a lovely Flag each day.

[Best Gomer Pyle voice]Thank ya, thank ya, thank ya.

In the War of Independence we had both the Continental Army and the state militias, and each was absolutely vital to our success. That seems to have been true in every war we've fought.

Thanks for this thread on the New Mexicans, SAM.

"God is my Co-pilot" was a book I read/reread as a teenager. Always enjoyed it.

I remember this as being a very good read.

This is good to hear. Abigail is just starting early, women are always on their own schedule. ;-)

Howdy! How's the gymnast? I almost freepmailed you a couple of times for perspective. Ours quit the team. Long story. If her couch were a teacher, she'd be jobless now.

Nice thread today, guys. I hadn't heard about that unit. They sure had it rough. Just another example to show the national guard service isn't real service crowd.

Did you see the post from the Wall Street Journal about the Marine who's been written up for the MOH? Quite a story.

LOL. Oregon is beautiful but even with the great landscape and good company reality in other areas still tries to hunt me down. :-)

The one who had his leg removed so he could still serve? Great, humbling story!
