From Maine to Gettysburg is my next trip. I am taking my 12 yr old grandson with me. He will visit Little Round Top and other sites of the battle. He would have had ancestors in the Union Army while mine were Confederates. I am attending Gettysburg College reunion. My freshman "Old Dorm" was an observation post and hospital. Morning larryjohnson. I envy you your trip to Gettysburg. I've never been able to get there. For now I can only imagine the way I would feel walking that ground. Based on how I felt at Shiloh I think there are sites there that would reduce me to tears, knowing what had happened.
