Morning, snippy! Great thread.
My father was on the DE Edgar G. Chase, escorting convoy NY 119 - mostly civilian ships, tugs , barges - slow moving - carrying railroad cars and other supplies across the Atlantic in Sept.'44. Not smooth sailing.
