Where I come from fried taters are just sliced round and flat and fried in lots of oil with salt, pepper and onion, fry til crisp!

We call those "Cottage Fries"

Cottage fries, I've heard the term but I'm part hillbilly and we just call 'em fried potatoes. ;-)

While I'm at it, that woman looks like hanoi jane or I've just been seeing too many pictures of her lately.
