Real heroes don't need to remind everyone that they're heroes.
Allow me to put a sharp point on it:
Lt. Col. Urban is an inspiration--even just reading about his exploits.
Whereas, the Fop du Jour, John Fonda Kerry, leapt like Rudolph Fonding Nureyev to leave (desert, orphan, maroon, flee, eschew, disavow) his "band of brothers" after thuh-ree (not seven) trivial "owies" requiring zero zip nada hospitalization, leaving less scarring than his BoTox injections;
Whereas, Fonda-Kerry got his Silver Star on his own recommendation for shooting a corpse--
The amazing-beyond-words image of Urban bolting from hospital to hitchhike and limp up the road to rejoin his men, to lift them up and get them victory--
That is a Medal of Honor soldier--
And he returned to the world to a rather modest position of public service--
What a man and an inspiration--
At just the right time when the crass, cheap and treacherous kerrified left demeans all that America means.
Bravo for a stirring thread celebrating stirring deed.
