August 25, 1972 the Dead played six hours in UC stadium in Boulder for 35,000 fans.

It rained off and on, but the Dead played on.

At one point, four young men brought out two large baskets containing a plastic-bagged green agricultural product.

These men threw the packages into the crowd.

I have no idea what they contained, being far away with sixteen young men and women with water pistols filled with gin.
