My kid sister was with the 101st Arborne. She went into Kuwait, but stopped short of Iraq, where the division HQ stopped.

I was active duty at the time, but stayed in TX. Funny, she can join the VFW, but I can't. LOL

Yep, that's how the cookies crumble. You have to be fighting in a foreign land to be able to join the VFW.
