You're welcome ladtx. I always thought it would be interesting to speculate how history would have changed it Texas had stayed an independant Republic. Sounds like a good "Alternate History" topic

Speaking of Texas history I would highly recommend T.R. Fehrenbach's, Lone Star: A History of Texas and the Texans. I have read, and re-read it several times. It is one of the few history books that reads like a novel.

I doubt it. This thing is from the early thirties. I may be wrong, but I don't think the rotor is even connected to the engine. Autogyros are strange devices.
