Cats are actually interdimensional travelers.
And spies of a sort.
Ever try to have a private, secret conversation?
Take a look around first next time.
Note well that there is a cat watching the proceedings with interest.

There are factions among cats that yearn to conquer we 'pathetic hairless apes'.
Notice how cats look down on us when we change clothes and such.
They pity us because we have no fur of our own and must create it.
In their view, we must be put out of our misery.

I've had cats for my whole life.
And seen almost every odd behavior and a few I'd never heard of before with cats.
Like: my father's cat seems to think that I can race through the thick brush with him to chase birds.
He doesn't seem to 'get' that I am not a cat and that he's a foot tall with four legs and I'm five foot five with two legs.
He really does act like we're funny looking, if defective, cats.

Maybe its God's way to take those who pass the test. He clearly did.

I'm told that the first thing to great me when I cam ehome from teh hospital after being born was mom and dad's two cats Titus and Caroline.
After they pronounced judgement over me, they allowed me to stay, even if I did crawl squawk and look funny at the time.

Only describes me under duress.
And even then only under certain circumstances involving hard drinks, fatigue, and loud music.

Good story, got a little choked when I read he died at age 55.Me too. I had to wait a bit for my monitor to clear after the first couple of article I read. The pic of his casket on the carriage really did it.

I read the book about the Big Ben. To me, the part I remember the most was when the WAVES and nurses met her as she came into port. Normally, they would start singing songs as the ships came in. The singing started when the Ben came in, but when they saw how bad she was torned apart, the singing stopped and their was just silence. All of a sudden, what was left of the Big Ben's band started up with the crew singing, "The old Big Ben ain't what she used to be", to the tune of the, "Old Gray Mare", everyone on shore was crying to include flag ranked officers. A lot of emotion.
Also, I think the ship's chaplin won the MOH on that one.

I saw AC119's working out a few times at night when we would get rocketed. It sorta looked like a model airplane with a control line turning in a circle. The tracers were the control line and it was just one steady streak as the plane turned in a circle. I would have hated to been under that. When you do the math, the guy on the receiving end had 24,000 rounds per min of 7.62mm coming at him.
