Hasn't it though. And the South could never recover from the loss of such great men. Trimble was left and taken prisoner. I don't know what happened to Pender. Hood lost his arms. Kemper died of his wounds. And Lee lost Pickett forever after the shattering of his division. "General Lee, I have no division." His resentment against the orders to advance on the center broke his spirit.
Ewell and AP Hill aren't the same after Gettysburg. Ewell looses his nerve. Hill never really recovers from his illness...
Wow! Now, Generals command bunkers in a different country than the one the war is being waged in!

Let me correct my last post to you. Hood only lost one arm.

The "What ifs" at Gettysburg are so numerous, to list a few:
What if J.E.B. Stuart had arrived before the second day?
What if Ewell had pressed hard on the heels of the Union rout of the first day?
What if Robert E. Lee had not prevented Longstreet from manoeuvering around the flank?
What if Pickett's Charge had been stronger and better led?
What if the Army of the Potomac had been commanded by a more aggressive counter-attacker than Meade?

I
googled it. Looks like a few ranches and outfits offer rides. IIRC, there was a good one that would let you bring your own horses along, too.
I did the NPS car tour thru the park which was really good. I pryed information from my guide and eventually he agreed with the South.
