Thank you snippy. (Your name always brings a smile to my face. LOL)

Being profiled was harder than I thought it would be, but Aqua is a sweet, dear friend and she did a good job. Just glad it's behind me. LOL I'm sure Aqua is too.

Some good work there!

I just started to read a really good book

Thunderbolt!
Memoirs of a World War II Fighter Pilot

Marvin Bledsoe
1982
ISBN 0-442-21355-7

http://www2.4dcomm.com/hobie/

It’s a good read You may want to take a look at it. Maybe a future FoxHole
Describe thing I never read before. Like there job of rounding up B-17s and getting them heading back the right way, The Picadilly Circus. And other thing after you read them you’ll know why you never heard of them before in Movies or Official books

I remember reading "God is My Co-Pilot" ans "30 Seconds over Tokyo" as a kid. Those books got me started in having an interest in History.

I read "Gabby: A Fighter Pilot's Life, by Francis S. Gabreski" but not "Thunderbolt".

Thanks for the lead in the book.

Thank you. He and so many others saved mankind from the scourge of facism and totalitarism. The greatest generation.

And thanks for the Foxhole. What an incredible resource you folks have going here. Are you archiving these articles? I forget, sorry.

1992 Alger Hiss said Russia had cleared him of the charge of being a Communist spy that sent him to prison for four years and helped launch Richard Nixon's political career.

Pure crap. Hiss confirmed Soviet spy by Pumpkin Papers, testimony of Whitaker Chambers et al, and by Venona Papers, transcripts of decoded Soviet cables.

My mom was on a beach and it was probably Lake Michigan when she went to Chicago with my grandmother.

My dad was on Saratoga (CV-3) and I was minus two at least.

My mom said a plane of trainees had crashed and a body of a WAC (I believe) had washed up. Something had eaten the back.

Ration stamps remain in my baby book.

Now we have a president whose dad flew a Dauntless opposed by Ted Kennedy whose dad thought Hitler was the cat's pajamas.

Bob Dole spoke at the Wyndham by the airport in 1998, helping my congressional candiadate, and reporting to veterans on progress raising funds for the WWII Memorial.

He said he'd been to Disney and the other studios and they wouldn't give a dime--wouldn't give a dime although they since made a bundle on Saving Private Hanks and Pearl Harbor The Worst Version.

colorado tanker's tag sighted:

There are now two parties: The Traitors and the Patriots.

Here's one:

Lethal force authorized.
