Gary Johnson also wants a carbon tax and his running mate William Weld wants tighter gun control. Weld, in the past, has been an advocate of “affirmative action.” These sound like true friends of liberty.
I maintain that for most politicians, the choice of a party is not about ideology--it's about which party, given their locale and connections, is the best career choice. For most (not all), the ideology comes later.
Here we have a man who is clearly not a libertarian using the Libertarian Party as his vehicle.
He did some decent things as Governor of New Mexico but he's gone right off the rails with this malarkey. The good news is he's going to draw off a bunch of younger voters who might otherwise vote for hILLary.
