Hoping some Freepers might take interest in this local race in west Kentucky. My candidate is running for judge executive in Marshall County, Kentucky. His name is Kevin Neal, and he's a decorated U.S. Marine. During his 20 years of service he served security tours in Bosnia and Haiti and three combat tours in Iraq. During his time in Iraq he led five 6-man sniper teams on 50 Guardian Angel missions as a Scout Sniper Sergeant. He was wounded in a mortar attack in 2004. He returned to Iraq in 2006. His medals include the Purple Heart and the USO Hero Award. Kevin now serves as an operations sergeant for the Paducah Police Department in Paducah, KY. He's received two Lifesaving Awards during his time there. A number of those in political circles believe Kevin could be our next congressman from Kentucky's 1st district after serving 4 to 8 years as judge executive. We have high hopes for Kevin. He has a strong appreciation for smaller government and individual liberty.
Is he a conservative? Because we honor veterans, but should only reward actual conservatives with political office (or have you forgotten people like Sen. McCain and others)?
I like everything you wrote. Please help me out and include some of his positions for those with time constraints. Thanks.
Sorry, but what is a “judge executive”? It sounds like it may be like district attorney but this is the first time I have heard that term.
I thought Marine sniper teams were only two men.
Never heard of Guardian Angel.
Thanks Cicero1234.
They often have a security team with them.
