No one on this site is more Anti-Amnesty than I am, as you could find out by checking my posting history.

What I had previously heard about Amash concerned his positions on the budget and his willingness to oppose Boehner, a rare thing among the invertebrates that largely populate the Republican majority.

I had not heard that Amash was pro-amnesty. If he is, it is a poison pill to anyone who would support him.
