Youve got to give it to Ron Paul," Palin said. "Whether you agree with everything he says or not, at least he is one there in Congress trying to make our President stick to the law and understand that Congress does have a role to play in these foreign policy decisions that are made and Ron Paul, I think hit the nail on the head, when he came out and said Obama had better be careful when he interjects himself and our country in other nations business.

Well said. Now, look in the mirror.
How old ARE you??????? Nope, don't tell me; I don't want to know.
“Yeah, he’s just some “Rightwing nutjob”, huh? He probably even owns a gun!”
That chart is full of misrepresentations. Also, Paul is not a “right-wing” nutjob....is is an all over the spectrum nutjob. He is NOT a conservative of any stripe.
Actually, it is a moot discussion. There no way Paul can win the GOP nomination...and there is no way he could beat Obama even if he pulled off this impossible task of winning the primary. He just isn’t worth taking notice of by any person possessing a brain that isn’t an anarchist, anti-authority, anti-war, ....etc. He isn’t a true Republican...no I don’t mean a RINO. RINOs are democrats that call themselves Republican. Paul is a fringe element Libertarian that calls himself a Republican.
It is trully time for this guy to leave public office and dissappear from history. Of course, you will still keep drinking that Libertarian Koolaid.
That's a ludicrous assertion.
I wrote:
“To be anti-authoritarian is to be an anarchist.”
You answered:
“That’s a ludicrous assertion.”
Not actually. Law is a recognized form of authority. In order for law to be carried out it requires those that enforce it. Law and its enforcement is authority. To resist “authority” is to resist “law.” That is the very nature of anarchy is to desire no authority....thus no law.
Look, I understand your dislike for authority...I would be untruthful if I said I liked it either. None of us like being “told” what to do or when to do it. Especially when it runs afoul of what we want to do at a particular time. However, overall with my military background I understand the necessity for authority and that it be respected. The only thing I get upset about is those that “abuse” authority or exceed what has been lawfully - by those governed - granted to them.
We all must live together in a way to avoid conflict. This requires law and agents of teh government to enforce that law. To be openly “anti-authoritian” is to oppose the very thing that makes it possible for us to live together peacefully. We all must, to some extent, subordinate ourselves to authority...we cannot be that authority. Otherwise we are promoting anarchy where, “everyone does what is right in his own eyes.”
An ideal society, especially our own republic, was established during a time when people naturally, for the most part, were moral and submitted themselves to authority...as long as it didn’t trample fundamental rights.
Thanks for the reminder..
I’ve turned on Ron Paul so I am not interested in him. When I read End The fed and Meltdown by Thomas E. Woods I thought they were right on. But after studying Ron Paul, his merry band of idots, Alex Jones, Jesse Ventura, Mike Rivero, Rick Adams, the luntaic fringe that is supporting Ron Paul, 9-11 Truthers, Anti-Semitic people supporting Ron and so on. I want to distance myself from these goofs.
They want to have their cake and eat it too. Supporters claim Ron Paul created the tea Party, but the lunatic fringe is joining Occupy Wall Street. So they are parasites going from movement to movement and trying to infiltrate them and co-opt.
So I might agree with some of Paul’s positions but the guy is a joke with no chance to win.
A strong argument could be made that those who are familiar with the show are both ignorant and shallow.
Because it sucks and is stupid.
If you are arguing that won't support him because some crazy folks support him, I hope you are at least consistent! Are you? To be consisetnet, you'd have to rule out every other candidate. At least none of his supporters support killing women and children on the battlefield or destroy thousands of lives via the war on drugs.
For your info, many Pro football Players, and other wonderful athletes have competed on the Show, and have done great. Last Season Hines Ward the great Pittsburgh Steeler won, and deserved the Mirror Ball Trophy. He was fantastic, and Jason Taylor came in second place when he competed. Many outstanding performances by Athletes, and Celebrities that were somewhat Klutzy on day one, went on to ace their performances. With very hard work, following their trainer's instructions, and the desire to succeed and rise above the fear and anxiety to achieve their goals, they transformed every week. It is a very Conservative to be successful after sacrifice and hard work.
This season another wonderful person is a fan favorite, he goes by the name of “JR”,and was a real Hero.He was in the Military and was wounded in Iraq, hit by a roadside bomb that trapped him inside his burning Tank, before he was rescued he had maiming burns over 40 percent of his body with his skin melting off. He had three years of Rehab including at least 32 surgeries. Look up his story, and how he wanted to die 8 years ago, and look where he is now. It is a shame your idea of manliness has colored your judgment to what a real man is,and how Dancing is hard and athletic.
You can do whatever you want, sadly you do not know now or probably will never know what you are missing.
