I suppose it is quite possible to classify any crime as “products and services”.

If drugs, why not prostitution, or pornography or bestiality or what ever. After that, why not rape. Hey it’s only a disagreement over price after all.” ... or why not murder ... it is called a “contract”.

I’m being sarcastic but the point is, without laws based on morals... laws intended to prevent the degradation of the society into brutish anarchy, without those markers of acceptability, then first the family disintegrates, then when all bonds of fellowship are broken, we are little more than animals. Each scrapping and fighting to get by.

I strive to the sublime, not the profane.
I believe my society should do the same.

Rape and murder involve coercion. It is within the legitimate purview of government to prevent coercion.

Shaking down teachers for their paychecks and threatening to kill school children don’t have a lot to do with drugs as far as I can see.

Then I take it you are for drug legalization. For our nation, founded by more moral men then us, found it right and just to *NOT* impose controls over what any man, or woman could ingest.

It was only in the mid-1910s did this concept become morally acceptable. The Harrison Act of 1914 was the first law on this matter.

You don’t see any difference? May you learn it in your own skin. If you do not know the difference between individuals living their lives as they choose, but not interfering in anyone else’s life, and those who do interfere in other’s lives, you deserve neither freedom or safety. You are the problem with America, because you are the one that will interfere in other innocent people’s lives. It was from people like you that individual rights needed to be protected and this country’s government was formed.

Since you strive for the “sublime”, I assume that is a personal journey, or are you willing to use the power of the gun to “aid” others in their perfection?
