>>Democracy is often mistaken, tyrannical, and evil — individual liberty never is.<<
.
That all depends on the individuals. Individual liberty without individual sense of responsibility creates chaos. This is the liberal philosophy: ‘If it feels good, it must be good, so do it’.
Our God-given freedom, as mentioned in the Constitution, implies that its recipients also believe in God and are willing to follow His statutes and not just ‘do their own thing’.
Well, individuals do do evil at times (obviously), but the political ideal is still limitless and untouchable individual rights and personal liberty — NOT democracy. And freedom comes from human nature, the inherent needs and desires of the Holy Individual, and (as it were) metaphysical/existential social equality — not “god.”
By the way, “god” is never mentioned in the US Constitution, and religion is naturally authoritarian and tyrannical (as well as utterly false and evil).
