To a certain degree, SoCal, all true Conservatives are Libertarians. I'm a Conservative first and a Republican second, with very strong Libertarian leanings. I don't agree with everything the LP stands for, especially in foreign policy, immigration, and drug legalization, but it would not take much for me to dump the GOP and become a full-blown member of the LP if the GOP's march to the left does not stop.
I've resolved to wait and see how 2012 turns out, and if the GOP undermines Sarah Palin and tries to shove a RINO like Romney and Pawlenty down my throat, then I'm gone.
