Obama wants to be the next appeaser/peacemaker.
How do you think that will turn out?
Paul is not a pacifist; but who shouldn’t oppose war in general? Is war a good thing? He has said many times he is a believer in the “Just War” philosophy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just_War
He isn’t an isolationist at all; he just doesn’t think we should be meddling in the affairs of foreign countries. It doesn’t take much to see that such meddling is more isolationist in the end as it hurts our relations with other countries.
Lincoln was a statist and did everything he could to push the mercantilist platform of the whig party which had been promoted by his ideological hero Henry clay.
And yes, Dr. Paul criticized Reagan because Reagan didn’t live up to his rhetoric. But leave out that Dr. Paul was the first to support him when Reagan ran for the presidency because he agreed with the rhetoric.
Yes, Ronpaul backed Reagan in 1976. From 1988 onward Paul has stated Reagan was a “dramatic failure” as President. Yet he still quoted him and praised Reagan during the GOP primary debates. Rank hypocracy from the leader of libertarian fringers.
Thankfully Ronpaul will never be potus. Sadly, you will remain a blithering idiot.

And Hitler was a warmonger like you. How'd that turn out?
Both Clinton and Bush militarily intervened against countries that were no threat to us and in which there was no American interest. How'd that turn out? We are still supporting those countries with our tax dollars, got nothing out of it except debt -- and Obama got elected.
Yeah, your way works better/s.
I didn't realize you were a liberal from DailyKos, or would that be Democratic Underground. Maybe Code Pink. Whatever.
Nonetheless, I'm in good company. Free Republic supports our troops and taking the battle to the enemy in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Now back under your rock, sleazeball.
Childish name-calling, yeah that wins arguments/s

My nephew is one of the few still in Iraq, so don't tell me that I "don't support the troops" -- it's drivel tossed while hiding behind a rock, typical armchair warrior stuff.
As for Afghanistan, I've always supported an intelligent assault on Afghanistan to take out those who supported bin Laden. In, wipe out the assholes, out -- not nation-building and remaking the world in our image. We can't even afford it .
"Now back under your rock, sleazeball."
Don't live under a rock, but obviously you do so find your direction home. Just sniff for moss.
LOL You started it! Looking like a fool comes natural to you.
Like I said, back under your rock with the other anti-war pacifists, you sleazebag!
Agreed.
His ideas on smaller government:
... lose the FED. Are good.
... return to the Constitution. Are good.
Is he the candidate to unite America ... NO!
“Like I said, back under your rock with the other anti-war pacifists, you sleazebag!”
You like war?
The paleos sit around assuming that El Run Paulie, all purpose mouthpiece for Al Qaeda is some sort of harbinger of the future when he is a washed up has been who got his backside whomped even by the likes of McCain. If he tries again, we'll whup him far worse than we whupped him in 2008 and we shall thus establish his trend line from little to nothing.
War beats cowardice and surrender to Sharia Law any old time.
There are two ditches on every road. In this case, the unprincipled hack RINO establishment is one ditch, and Ron [and Rand] Paul’s pro-choice for states, isolationist, Libertarianism is the other.
As a conservative Independent who gave up some time ago on the Republican Party as a party, I am still willing to support individual Republicans, but only if they are Reaganite personhood pro-life, peace through strength, moral conservatives. The rest can go jump in a lake.
When do we start debating worthy opponents?

these guys look to be out in the wilderness in the next GOP administration, too.
