KY 2010? Is that some new, improved, version of the same old gel?

“KY 2010: [Rand] Paul rakes in $1 million for US Senate [surges ahead of all other candidates]”

There are going ot be a lot of GOP firsters and RNC uber alles types around here that will literally LOSE IT if he becomes the next Senator from the bluegrass state.

If for that alone, it will be well well worth it.

I “often” like Ron Paul....(but not always....)

BUT...much more importantly, from a human perspective, it is pretty cool to see a father who is a member of Congress perhaps get to serve on Capitol Hill with a son in the Senate. Nice story - especially because they are all decent human beings. And rather different from the Kennedy story.

Ron Paul may be a moonbat on certain issues like national defense. But the GOP can and has done a lot worse with their nominations, even in conservative states like Kentucky.

The poster boy for a bad senator from a conservative state has got to be Lindsey Graham. I don't think the son of Ron Paul could ever sink that low.

Hell Ron would of beat Obama if they had given him a chance instead of McLame.

You should check out his opponent Charles Merwin Grayson III in the Republican primary. The son of a banker, used to be a democrat, campaigned for Clinton and is an “aspen institute fellow”. He has never held a job outside of public office and appears that he looks to be the establishment gop’s yes-man.

-"On September 23, 2009, Rand Paul's grassroots held another money bomb to counter a D.C. fundraiser being held for primary opponent Trey Grayson, by 23 Republican United States Senators, 17 of whom voted for the bailout.46] The theme was a UFC "fight" between Rand Paul and "We the People" vs. Trey Grayson and the "D.C. Insiders".[47] The money bomb ended up raising $186,276 for Rand Paul in 24 hours on September 23rd[48]; bringing Paul's Senate campaign's total raised since its start to over one million."
