Sorry, but I don’t need scolding nor an education about what and who a RINO is. Most Senators (R) are. Notable exceptions: two from OK and one from TN. Other than that, the Senate (R) caucus is pretty well (or badly) infested.
Needs a barf alert IMO.
But if you just oppose legal equality for homosexuals in general....
Legal equality? They can marry just like anyone else. But they can't legally marry someone of the same sex, and neither can I. It's all equal. So according to whoever these clowns are you have to support legal gay marriage to be a "real Republican"???
These people are full of it. They don't even deserve the name "RINO". Change it to RETARD, 3rd Class.
rabscuttle385,
Do you agree with this nonsense?
Why do you think those (R) Senators who you object to keep getting elected?
For the whole series of Zero dollar bills, go here:
I agree with the GOP platform from 1912.
I don’t agree with the notion of legally permitting homosexual marriage, but then again, I don’t think government, at least, at the federal level, ought to interfere in marriage, period.
Mr. Nalle would probably call me a RINO for favoring state government financial support for Virginia’s public colleges, including the University of Virginia, a position that Jefferson held.
But Jefferson held that position back when the State of Virginia could actually say something about what was taught there, and what kind of folks were hired there.
It's ridiculous to expect state money from any USA government entity to support so many professors who are dedicated to overthrowing our current constitution.
I'm disappointed to see such inconsistency coming from the Liberty Caucus. I oppose the DOMA -- I oppose ANY government involvement in marriage -- but their argument is false. There are no "preferential rights." Heterosexuals and homosexuals already have perfect, exact legal equality (aside from hate crimes laws that specifically shield gays). It's dishonest for this writer to claim some disparity where none exists.
That is correct.
I believe that Mr. Jefferson would be deeply disappointed and disgusted to see some of the garbage taught in Virginia's public colleges today.
And, quite frankly, I think that Virginia's public colleges should be returned to their original missions of providing the citizens of Virginia with high-quality, cost-effective educations that not only allow for them to become more productive and happier citizens, but also for them to think for themselves and act as "the sole depositary of our religious and political freedom," as was originally intended by Mr. Jefferson.
"The boys of the rising generation are to be the men of the next, and the sole guardians of the principles we deliver over to them." Thomas Jefferson to Samuel Knox, 1810
by the same logic a true Republican cannot support the Defense of Marriage Act
YES WE CAN,
Libertarians are fine (inface I am a member of the RLC), but when they go on a tangent attacking “moral conservatism” they’re out of line..
The Left through the courts are what forced conservatives to focus on social issues in the first place. They are the agressors, if we got back to the Constitution (and balanced court authority, including in “law” (legal prescedent), then they wouldn’t matter as much.
Libertarians NEED to realize this rather than trying to denegrate the social conservative side of the equation, IMO. They’ll lose unless they UNIFY (with other factions on the right, espeically because many people, including me fall into more than one ‘conservative’ category)!
Huh ? Both of mine in TN are RINOs.
Because of lack of opposition in the primaries, is my guess. Same district that elects a true conservative soldier to the House has only one choice in the General election for Senate == the RINO that ran unopposed statewide in the (R) primary. It's kinda complicated, but it's the Hobson's choice we get stuck with. There needs to be a concerted effort to remove these mushbrains in the primary process. Classic example: JD Hayworth should be opposing McLame in the primary in AZ. But no. We're going to see one-trick-pony Simcox (Minutemen), who will be easily marginalized as a kook, either in the Primary or in the General.
Sorry. I had thought your man Corker had been the poster boy for opposition the the Crimulus Bill. Anyway, I was admiring him for a while.
What rot! Moralism isn't alien to "traditional Republican values." The problem with this "RINO" talk is that people like Nalle use it to very narrowly define "true" Republicanism as "what I like or believe."
But I also agree wholeheartedly with secretagentman's posting of the five “RINOs”
Those five he posted tend to take to many Democrat party positions like healthcare and big government
to=too
