I’ve just hit the abuse button on this. Maybe it didn’t go through. Needs to be hit again I guess.
And that is just for starters!
I guess the truth hurts.
Interesting little tidbit I heard on the radio news this evening.
Soto was in NY waiting in a conference room with others while the vote was taken. When it was over she received a call.........said....Mommy, I have people here. And rushed her mother off the phone. Next call, from the messiah himself which she gladly took.
No, it isn't. I'm unique. Check out my homepage. I don't represent the mainstream of Free Republic -- nor do I claim to. I don't even represent the fringe -- nor do I claim to.
I only speak for myself. I call myself a "pure [Western, Enlightenment, classical] liberal." That's the most radical title on this earth.
Freepers, at most, lightly tolerate me.
So you're looking to censor me? Freepers are too stupid and slimy to judge my comments on the merits, and see me for who I am -- so you make the decision for them, and choose to censor me?
Interesting. I got a similar snarky little comment from some self-appointed punk with the ETL handle who also signed up in ‘08 in a string last night. I think we’re being astroturfed by a bunch of DUmmies.
What part of his post do you believe merits censoring, or equates abuse?
Sotomayor is an extreme sexist, as she is a radical feminist.
Sotomayor is an extreme racist, as she is a member of the radical La Raza (who's slogan, as I'm sure you are aware, is "For the Race, everything, for others, nothing").
Extreme racism and sexism is definitely bigotry, on multiple counts.
Bigots ARE lowlifes, by definition (care to disagree?).
The KKK consists of dangerous, lowlife, multiple count bigots, by definition (care to disagree?).
Nazi Hitlerites consisted (and consist) of of dangerous, lowlife, multiple count bigots (care to disagree?).
And we are talking about all of these attributes in a now Supreme Court Justice, which definitely adds "dangerous" and "poisonous" to her racist, sexist, lowlife bigotry (care to disagree?).
Now, since you assumed such immediate authority of censorship for these exact concepts in this situation, please explain your justification for your action.
Or are you the type of person the First Amendment was written to protect us from?

Yeah, you jerk. Here is what you wrote:
“the good news is that she is a massively obese diabetic, and will be unlikely to have a normal life expectancy.”

You had to have known it was a remark like that that got FR in trouble with Bill O’Reilly. It was nearly identical to it.
I don’t follow O’Reilly - haven’t for years. And she is massively obese. And a diabetic. And she is unlikely to have a normal life expectancy. And thus won’t be on the Court for many decades. What’s your point? That O’Reilly is the FR hall monitor? Or that you are? Get a life.
er, that you're saying here on FR that her death due to the disease would be "good news". I'm not a big fan of O'Reilly, but FR doesn't need any more negative press, especially from the Fox News Channel. They're the only station out there approaching respectable.
I don’t get the “lowlife” allegation. Did I miss something?
Sotomayor's 'wise Latina' comment a staple of her speeches
"I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would, more often than not, reach a better conclusion [than a white male who hasnt lived that life]."--Sonia Sotomayor

Just in...
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court has ruled that white firefighters in New Haven, Conn., were unfairly denied promotions because of their race, reversing a decision that high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor endorsed as an appeals court judge.

You didn't miss anything. That was just a kind of zinger I added at the end. Hey, I coulda done worse! ;-)
But my general impression of her is that, yes, she's basically a lowlife. She practically dedicated her whole life to "identity politics" ever since college. Hard to see that as an innocent error. And she lied about her "wise Latina" beliefs pretty badly during the confirmation hearings. And quite a few credible reports say she's arrogant, cold, and cruel while on the bench, where she functions as a kind of dictator. I also thought her face was remarkably different, odd, and dishonest when before the Senate. I bet she never wears that phony-demure, soft-spoken, sweet, little girl face again in her life!
Thanks for the eloquent defense and commentary, Talisker! I agree with every word you wrote! :-)
Add Liar to your list. She clearly lied to Senators when talking about her moderate positions and lack of racism. But of course, anything goes when you have friends in the Democratic party.
