Do you love the smell of libertarianism in the morning? If so, today is a good day for you. Ron Paul Last week we solicited your questions for Congressman Ron Paul. There was such a big response (more than 400 comments) that we have split Pauls answers into two batches, the first of which is posted below. Thanks to Paul for his answers and all of you for your good questions.

You're assuming they want the truth.
In truth, that's the last thing the American people want.
You can't tell them, and if you try to tell them, they won't listen.
So, Ron Paul runs as a Republican Presidential candidate in the primary and accepts another term as a Republican Representative, but criticized Sarah Palin's choice to "toe the Party line."
Yes, and?
Are you trying to tell me that Ron Paul was toeing the party line? Or are all those freepers with Paul Derrangement syndrome delusional? Especially since many of them spent eight years (since the 2k election) criticising McInsane for not towing the party line.
You guys have to get your story straight, LOL.
Guess it depends on whose ox is getting gored, eh?
He went along with whatever it took to run for office as a Republican.
Even as late as the National Convention, Ron Paul welcomed not just the anti-war faction, but the anarchists and pinks despite their anti-life, anti-family, anti-property views.
I never once heard him confront any of them, even about abortion. For that matter, where was he when one of his delegates sold/gave their ticket to a disruptor?
All along, telling us that *we* were the problem.
"Whatever it took" amounts to registering as a Republican, and filing as a candidate in his district, same as for any other Republican. Nothing there.
Even as late as the National Convention, Ron Paul welcomed not just the anti-war faction...
By the last poll, that would be 70% of the country who had objections to the war in Iraq. Nothing there, but more below:
...but the anarchists and pinks despite their anti-life, anti-family, anti-property views.
Paul hosted an event that had nothing to do with the Republican convention or the Republican party. UNLIKE the Republican convention, the event was not paid for by a single tax dollar.
To say "welcomed" is absurd. Those groups...largely in opposition to one another...made a statement of areas of agreement, in particular four points.
That had nothing to do with the Republican or Democratic party.
I never once heard him confront any of them, even about abortion...
For what purpose? He was a Republican, what business was it of his to presume to interfere in the internal affairs of the Green Party, or the Constitution Party, or the American Independence Party, or the Libertarian Party? You're not claiming that to be a Republican is to presume to violate the First Amendment rights of non-Republicans is it?
...For that matter, where was he when one of his delegates sold/gave their ticket to a disruptor?
Probably at the event he hosted, and blissfully unaware of the fact, if it indeed happened. Do you suppose that the other candidates for the Republican even knew who their delegates were or were intimately familiar with their comings and goings?
All along, telling us that *we* were the problem.
In light of the overwhelming majourity of the American voting public, it appears that Ron Paul was correct. Incidentally, he didn't have any Democratic opposition for his congressional seat...again.
And how did the rest of the Republican Congressional candidates do this time?
To address the ORIGINAL POINT however, Paul is being consistent. He's not "toeing the party line". Therefore he is free to criticise Palin for doing just that.
Funny, you seem to neglect that the Party Nominee, John "Maverick" McCain ran on the claim that he didn't "toe the Party Line".
Again, it comes down to whose ox is being gored, nothing more.
They can't handle the truth.
“They can’t handle the truth.”
I would hazard to guess that that is what is wrong with the majority of people in this country.
