I understand a lot of liberals say these things to bash Bush over the head, for their own purposes. I don’t care what they say. Remember that finding Bin Laden was what this was originally about. We were going to capture him “dead or alive.” The fact that we didn’t, IMO, was due in large part to a flawed foreign policy. I think that with a better foreign policy we could have gotten him. In general, we still aren’t concentrating enough on dismantling Al Qaeda and taking down its leaders, whether or not Bin Laden’s still alive.

Paul calls these folks - the 9/11 terrorists - guys with knives and thinks fighting them with police power is sufficient. There’s not many of them, they don’t have a country.. Islamicists aren’t really a threat if we just leave them alone.

This plays well with the far left and with muslim supporters.

It doesn’t go down well with enough folks to win the primary or the general.

And you think Paul is going to dismantle Al Qaeda and take down its leaders. That is not what he says.

We will find Bin Laden when they find the right cave and dig up his remains but as long as he is not sending us videos of himself, who cares?
