Actually, Paul didn't choose the day. He has a campaign and a zillion or so others have a similar campaign. They chose the day, not him nor anyone in his official campaign staff. About the only thing they have in common is the desire to elect him President. That may not happen but in the meantime we're being treated to a magnificent display of grass-roots activism. It would be a shame to waste all this energy.

I agree with EEE that we probably should have done it on 11/11 to show support for our troops. However, this day seem to have caught the immagination of a lot of supporters.
It has been a great day for Ron Paul, as he will raise over $4 M dollars in one day. It will be hard to follow it up with another money bomb on 11/11.
