A couple blog entries from an old FR favorite, Claire Wolfe.
Pretty funny overall, lots here for the Paul-haters and the Paul-lovers to chew over.
We need more fun articles like this one. Not just for RP but for all the GOP candidates. Picking a nominee shouldn't be such a parade of killjoys for the party or for FReepers.

Free Republic Ron Paul Ping List: Join/Leave |
Ping for a fun read.
To: George W. Bush
The guy thought it was already September 11 and greeted me by asking, in a tone of utmost cynicism, "Is your flag flying today?"A Ron Paul supporter hammering home the fact that Ron Paul and his supporters scoff at patriotism.
**** him and **** Ron Paul.

(Why is it that so many self-proclaimed "Constitutionalists" know so little about the Constitution?)
To: George W. Bush
Every year the Republicans and the Democrats have back-to-back booths -- out of each other's sight, but rubbing each other's butts (which is such a good metaphor for the political reality). Indeed it is.

Agreed. I used to think Ron Paul was an honorable enough man that just had real stupid views on foreign policy.
The more he opens his mouth, the more I see him as a slightly unhinged leftist weirdo.
And the majortiy of his followers are those people who never got invited to sit at the "cool table" in the high school cafeteria and still resent general society as a whole because of it.
Their revenge is to ram Ron Paul crap down our throats.

It’s six years past 911 and bin Laden is still alive. More soldiers died in Iraq this year than last year and still there is no end in sight. I’m not routing for it but there will be a Democrat landslide in November 2008. George Bush took the keys to the country and drove it into a wall.

Anyone asked the “Dr NO” to explain his hypocrisy on Congressional Earmarks? And I don’t mean the absurd nonsense about his voting against the bills. Easy to vote against a bill when he knows the bill is going to pass no matter what he does. IF he were really a “limited Govt Conservative” he would be leading the fight AGAINST earmarks, not defending them as “a necessary tool of Congress”. Paul is a hypocrite and a fraud

No. Because we can't find any earmarks that actually passed.
If you've got some, post them.
Congresscritters who refuse to play the pork game on earmarks don't get earmarks unless all the other piggies include such an earmark with their own porky earmarks.
Find and post some of these earmarks. Or concede you don't have any reason to believe they passed. As you must know, submitting an earmark means nothing. Getting it passed by playing the Porkmeister is what counts.
To: George W. Bush
Sorry anyone with even an ounce of intellectual ability knows full well you never trust what a politician says unless they put their actions where their mouths are.
Paul is a demagogue relentlessly punching the emotional hot buttons of the political fringes laughing himself sick knowing full well he will never have to put his vote where his mouth is.

You only see it that way because you apparently eagerly digest whatever the media spoonsfeeds you.
Im not routing for it but there will be a Democrat landslide in November 2008.
"Routing?" Routing where? And again, how do you know? You have the superior ability to call an election 14 months out?
George Bush took the keys to the country and drove it into a wall.
Sounds like you're a tad nostalgic for Clinton?
Sorry, but your post sounded too DU-ish to just leave sitting there all alone.

Sam's Army: I was so cool I refused to eat cafeteria food, or even go inside it.
Good move.
I suspect Allegra is still under the subtle influence of their government-subsidized chocolate milk in the itty-bitty wax-coated paper containers, a sinister conspiracy by communist dairy producers in places like Wisconsin to promote big-government liberalism, a plot even more satanic than fluoridated municipal water.
LOL.
Allegra, at your age, you can't possibly care who sat at the "cool table" in high school. Or is it a precious memory or something?
To: MNJohnnie
I see. You're conceding you don't know of any Ron Paul porky earmarks (or even legit earmarks) that have ever passed. Same here. Find us some earmarks and then we'll debate them.
You know, this is why the local Chamber of Commerce crowd always opposes him. They know they could get more pork out of either a rank-and-file Republican or a Democrat. Much of RP's credibility with his constituents is because he is quite consistent, a known quantity. That is why he gets re-elected against the wishes of local party bosses and against well-funded challenges from both parties.

"Allegra, at your age, you can't possibly care who sat at the "cool table" in high school. Or is it a precious memory or something? Whoah...let's hold it right there...
This is my first foray into a RP thread. My comment was more to make light of High-School (and myself at that age). Allegra gave a comment that I thought was funny.
I have no dog in this fight between anyone here...
To: George W. Bush
I can only imagine that going through life being so clueless to where simple points just fly right over your head is something you've gotten used to.
But I personally think so little of you that I can't even dredge up any sympathy.

Time for you to wash your Star Trek uniform. People are starting to complain.

I thought your comment back to mine was funny, too. ;-)
