So you haven't seen any specific proposals by Fred Thompson to actually shrink the federal government?
A question posed early up thread and totally ignored. jonesie is "sure" that it'll happen though. Blackbird.

Rational people (which rules out paleofrauds) understand that the foreign policy of paleoPaulie is the functional equivalent of the foreign policy of Jane Fonda and Cindy Sheehan and Dennis Cuckoocinich and Ramsey Clark and Sean Penn and the rest of the nest of antiwar antiAmerican trash. I favor my country in its wars. They all favor its enemies. You don’t get to be a Republican and an Abbie Hoffman thinkalike simultaneously.

Yes, I think your response was that it is too early for Fred Thompson to say where he stands on the issues.

But from where does it originate constitutionally. There was no amendment past post roads and the like...
See, things evolve...
And I agree about the DOE, however there has been one benefit, and that is a level of standardization in curriculum. We need to preserve that in a modern competitive world in some form, maybe an agreed guideline among the many states.

A great many men and women take an oath to defend the Constitution and many have made the supreme sacrifice to do so. You make a mockery of that.

Wiser by far to spend one’s money by funding meals on wheels for pooches down on their luck. The pooch will always love you back. Dr. Demento will always be Dr. Demento.

That I did, and I pointed out his tax stances and the fact he is very much a Federalist, which I trust and think he will make some inroads in our favor based on what I have come to know about the man. Much more so than any other top tier candidate, or non candidate if you will...

Whether you perceive a benefit is irrelevant. What matters is whether the States and the people ever gave that power to the federal government. This was done in the original Constitution or through the Amendment process. Any other way is unlawful.
That is the problem with your position. It favors unlawful government.
Some seem to believe that if the government did it, it has by that definition, to be lawful. This is similar to the belief that God is always right because he is God.

This is a ridiculous argument about some one who has no ...may I repeat NO CHANCE...
Look guys...Ron Paul may be a great guy with a great message...But he has no chance...I will repeat ...NO CHANCE...
Lets get behind someone who can beat the beast and quit all this silly ass in fighting over Pat Paul. I mean Ron Paul...
Stop it...We've got some work to do here....((;O)

God is always right...
So we need to just get rid of the highways and the FDA and the CDC and the rest first thing in the morning...
Getting home tomorrow night will be a bit rough, but oh well..
I am willing to et that you may find the "people" a bit concerned about that, and not giving a rats ass about constitutionality...
All is as I suspected...

You support a candidate that has taken that oath repeatedly but just cannot repress his desire to defund the troops, force the loss of their war and ours, and make the sacrifices of those killed or wounded be in vain. Sorry, you lose, and you ought not to make such perfectly ridiculous arguments. One more reason why "paleo" and "conservative" are antonyms. The constitution is not a suicide pact or a paleopeacecreep document whatever Dr. Demento and his buddies prefer to believe.
What I am mocking is the idjit notion that peace creeps of whatever apparent persuasion can EVER be patriots. That pisses off the Hillarys and the paleos but it is true nonetheless and their snarling anger and agitprop is proof of just how true it is.

Which beast are you talking about beating? Hildebeast or the federal leviathan that is consuming our income and freedom?
I see Freepers who are okay with oversized, unlawful government so long as their candidate and party is in charge.
Well, our candidate and party will not always be in charge and this system we have in place is ripe to be abused by her Thighness, if she wins the crown.

It's been entertaining for me, too. But enough is enough for tonight. Unlike the stereotype the Paul haters promote, I have a job to be at in the morning.
You guys and gals have fun.
