I honestly cant believe how far this party has strayed from from doing what is right and sane.
I agree.
The RP of today doesn't even resemble the RP I joined almost fifty years ago.

I have a problem with someone who wants us nuked before we nuke someone else.
So, you're ready to nuke a country based on the same "intelligence" that promised us WMDs in Iraq?

Tell him there is an opening on the viewOf course that job is for women only.
So Ron Paul will have some stiff competition from Anderson Cooper...

I was not aware that the phrase predated the novel. It originates in Shakespeare's The Tempest.
How many goodly creatures are there here!
How beauteous mankind is!
O brave new world,
That has such people in it!
The Tempest (V, i)
Would I be flamed for saying; "New World Order" in a sentence?
I'm guessing probably not because it doesn't mean anything to you guys.
Who exactly is "you guys"? Pro Rassling fans?

The party is a complete and utter joke. If the good Dr. doesn’t get the nomination, I honestly hope the party goes up in flames in 08 which I predict it will.
The party could give a crap about the american people. We have a president bent on granting amnesty to millions of criminal aliens while the people on all sides of the aisle are opposed to such treason.
We have troops dying in Iraq for what only can be desribed as spreading socialism and Sharia law as the Iraq constitution outlines. This is outrageous.
We have the SPP which I believe wholeheartedly is the stepping stone to the eventual NAU and nobody gives a crap...Nobody believes it. “It is just a Conspiracy theory” all the while you can read documents showing otherwise.
This country is going right down the crapper and the neocons are just as to blame as the liberals.
To: LexBaird
"Who exactly is "you guys"? Pro Rassling fans?"LOL! Good one, there. I once ordered a video with that title, only to find out it was pro "wrestling". LOL!
By "you guys" I was (unfairly, I know) lumping together everybody who is (apparently) in favor of the New World Order.
If you don't fit that description, then please accept my most humble apology.

No, the vast majority which includes people outside of the Rockefeller wing of the Republican party do not think Ron Paul is insane.
One may dislike his accent, tone of voice, appearance, but what he has to say is catching fire and the rest of the pack except Duncan Hunter really sound like wet dishrags.
The constant ad hominem attacks on Ron Paul instead of attacking the issues he raises makes it clear that Republicans are not conservatives even on FreeRepublic. You attack the ideas not the people themselves, and a blanket judgment of insanity is the lazy man's way to avoid dealing with what is being said by the last true believer in the Constitution and the Republic.

Ahmanutjob has said that the US, UK, and Israel will “vanish.” If one does not understand the declaration of war in this and take it literally then they can not legitimately quote Bin Laden’s words for the same purpose as Ron Paul claims to do.
Both Bin Laden and Ahmanutjob have made their intentions clear. We ignore them at our peril.

What is paradoxical about Arabs (never knew many Iranians) is that individually, I knew many than seemed like normal get up and go to work guys that paid their bills and loved their families. However, after getting to know more Arabs, mainly from Egypt, Jordan or Palestine, you find out the differences in their cultural thinking. First of all, they are not dumb people, they are intelligent. However, much of their background and schooling has taught them many misconceptions about history. Second, they have a love/hate thing with the USA. They all respect our economic successes, and want the same, but resent our support of Israel. I found Egyptians to be less resentful than Palestinians. Palestinians are just in denial of the existence of Israel. They seem to think that one day the magic genie will come along and poof, no more Israel (NOT GOING TO HAPPEN). Many would love to come to America. They enjoy taking a drink or two now and then, despite the Koran, but just as long as it is behind closed doors. The Saudis are very conservative, especially on how they treat their women, also having 4 wives, which is almost unheard of outside the Gulf. Other Arab countries think the Saudis are weird. Also, they resent the wealth of Saudis.
We have something going for us in the Middle East in a sense, Arabs tend to fight among themselves. It is hard to get them together, even when they are all Sunni or all Shia. Of course, that works against what we are trying to do in Iraq, since the government there is just too weak. If that government was strong, we could walk away from the country in months.
If you are interested in reading on this subject, check out books by Bernard Lewis. Also, a book called “The Arab Mind” by Patai. “The Seven Pillars of Wisdom” by TE Lawrence is great (Lawrence of Arabia) for the history and culture.

Under the Bush Doctrine the United States can invade or attack any country without having to provide valid reasoning and justification for it.
Provide valid reasoning and justification for it to whom? If congress votes for war then we don't have to provide jack to anyone else. One of things I agree with Ron Paul about is that we should have voted for a declaration of war. I get the distinct opinion he would have voted against it, which would be a fantastic question to ask him in a debate. If he would have opposed the war, regardless if we had gone about it via the constitutional method, then part of his argument is pure sophistry. Regardless I think we can all agree that the "horse has left the barn" on the matter of Iraq. I think there was more then enough justification for war, even by the "Christian war" model. Of course Ron Paul ignores this too.
I guess my biggest problem with Ron Paul is that if he isn't talking about the constitution or dealing with a problem not covered by the constitution he doesn't hew to any notable ideology but seems to swing wildly leftward.

Kruschev threatened to "bury" us. Why didn't we take that as a declaration of war and nuke Russia?

It is complete insanity to compare Ron Paul to Jesus. I saw that, too and cringed. I've sometimes jokingly compared the Ron Paul Cult to the Branch Davidians for their worshipful ways and completely blind and slavish devotion. Perhaps I wasn't joking after all.
That kind of comment just gives me the all-out creeps.
