Good points.. I am planning to vote for Bush because of those reasons. But I am not going to support liberal fat cat Republicans in congress and the senate. Not all republicans fall into that category however.

Thats another good point. If you are in New York, really your vote is thrown away regardless of who you vote for, for president. And most likely the other seats as well. So you are voting only to send a message anyway.

"I beleive they'd show a bigger spine with a Kerry presidency than with Bush."

Sure...just like the spine they showed with Clinton. No thanks, I'll stick with President Bush.

"Free men are aware of the imperfection inherent in human affairs, and they are willing to fight and die for that which is not perfect. They know that basic human problems can have no final solutions, that our freedom, justice, equality, etc. are far from absolute, and that the good life is compounded of half measures, compromises, lesser evils, and gropings toward the perfect. The rejection of approximations and the insistence of absolutes are the manifestations of a nihilism that loathes freedom, tolerance, and equity."

1994 republican Congress did create and pass the Contract with America which forced Clinton to deal with conservative issues. Of the 10 items in the Contract- Clinton signed 6 into law. that looks to me like the republican Congress held Clinton's feet to the fire.

LOL! They allowed Clinton to make a mockery of them, the White House and the nation. Me, I have absolutely no faith in your Republican Congress or John Kerry. I'll stick with the real leader we currently are blessed with.

If the war on terror trumps everything why did Bush pass another huge increase in spending with perscription drugs for seniors. And why are republicans in congress pork barrelling bills just as badly as democrats?

"The war on terror trumps everything."

Ridiculous. How can you declare war on an abstract? Did Britain and France declare a War on Blitzkrieg after Germany invaded Poland? Of course not.

If we weren't at war, i'd be with you and say throw the bums out. Unfortunately if dems gain control they will defund the iraq war. After the war is over, then we can teach these spend crazy rinos a lesson.

This November we will vote in the only election during our lifetime that will truly matter.

Complete and utter garbage.

I agree that nothing changed. Two years ago, I thought that President Bush was too liberal. Now, I think that, in my state, IL, the republican nominee for gov., Treasurer Judy Topinka, is too liberal. If I thought that her race would be close, I would vote for her, since I don't want to help split the anti-liberal vote and help the Democrat win. I think that the Democrat will receive about 60% of the vote. Since IL has early voting, I voted last Sun., and, for governor, I voted for Randy Stufflebeam, of the Constitution Party.

I hope that the majority of conservatives will vote for the candidate they agree with the most, only if they think that their doing so wouldn't help the Democrat.

What do you mean you're going to vote for Bush? What office is Bush running for?

If you mean you are going to support Bush, which non-Republican candidates are you going to vote for are going to support Bush?
