Oh, and "God's favored nation" aren't "the Jews." He favors ISRAEL.
ISRAEL as in "those who take upon themselves the name of Messiah," not the political construct that the U.N. created in 1948.

John Lee was a murderer, and he paid the price.
And his "testimony" was a Mark Hoffmann forgery--in case you're not up to date, yet.

Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were prophets of God, in every sense that Moses, Elijah, Ezekiel, Malachi or a host of others were.
If so why do you hit the abuse button when we copy, and paste their sermons from your own LDS websites? If they were true prophets of God, why are you ashamed of what they had to say?
To me Moses, Elijah, Ezekiel, Malachi were true prophets of God. Go ahead and copy, and post anything from them that you want.

You know, you CAN do this without it being "ranting and railing," etc.

C'mon Corin, remember your recent history: Swaggart and Bakker were "given the right foot of fellowship" (kicked out) by the Assemblies of God. I'm fairly new to the denomination (last five years) and my church isn't your "typical" AoG. In fact, we probably wouldn't be there if it was.

If you want to post things that I already know, go ahead.
Feel free to leave off the less-than-edifying commentary which you always insist upon adding, however. The words of the prophets I love.
It's yours I can leave behind.

Coming from one who is constantly attacking the character of other posters, I'll accept that as a compliment.

Soo... my telling that these are the things I was taught by catholic schools is ranting and railing, bashing and bigotry? Not usually. I think you don't distinguish the black and white answers given to a child from the greys we see in an adult understanding.
Example: as a child you were told that non-Catholics are destined for hell.
As an adult, you should realize that this is still the same position. Except for the understanding that God is merciful to the truly ignorant.

But Israel has, IMO, used this as a pretext for harming innocents themselves.
Are you saying that Israel has purposely harmed innocents under the pretext of defending itself ?
Would you say that such action is akin to what the US is now doing in Iraq ?
It is no secret that they wish to take land that was taken by them in war, but which has always been inhabitted by people who in many cases had no quarrel with anyone but were unfortunate enough to be Arabs.
Israel clearly has the power to take absolute control of these lands.
Why is it, do you think, ... that they have not ?

While John Lee was in prison waiting for execution he wrote an entire book in his own handwriting, about this masscre, and the "doctrine of blood atonement", how it carried out, etc. It was called "Confessions of John D. Lee"
Much of this part of Mormon history is written in journals of my Mormon ancestors.

That you already know?.
Thanks I will post some of their own words, they speak for themselves.

Your missing the point:
I did/have done it without ranting and railing. I was told I was lying, or stupid, or a victim of bad teaches and should disregard it now and accept what I am told now as the truth.
Who was bashing?
Most of the catholics on here know me now, so anytime I say anything now on a catholic thread I am called a bigot or liar or asked to take my "hate" somewhere else.
Who is bashing? Who is the bigot, the hypocrite?
None of this bothers me on a personal level. I think most catholics on here know I am telling the truth and just want me to shut up:), the only reason I mention it now on occasion is because of another fact that the catholics on here will not admit too, and that is most generally, the everyday average catholics themselves have these misconceptions about their faith, because it is what was taught for years and years and IMO is still going on in alot of schools. So if that is what is being taught how do we/they know what the RCC really wants catholics to believe? I have seen that alot of their offical writings refute this stuff, but it was/still is being taught in alot of places, no matter how much they want to deny it. It is not just people who are CINO that think this stuff, it is being taught.

It is no secret that they wish to take land that was taken by them in war, but which has always been inhabitted by people who in many cases had no quarrel with anyone but were unfortunate enough to be Arabs. I personally know of a couple of such instances, and it is WRONG. It is wrong to bulldoze homes owned free and clear by Palestinian Arabs who have done nothing, but who are being victimized because Israel claims it has a right to protect itself. Israel doesn't have a right to protect itself?
Look, the parallels are obvious. Many fine, upstanding Iraqi and Afghan people lost their property or lives in our recent actions. Because they were "unfortunate" enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Such is the way the cookie crumbles. If your army uses your neighborhood to take potshots at a neighboring country, your odds of being "left alone" are slim.

But Dave, you don't consider me truly ignorant in the catholic faith do you?
I was a catholic, I reject their teachings completely. Am I ignorant, or a destined for hell?
