It is not incumbent on me to "refute" anything, simply because you say that it is. You made personal charges against snerkel and against me (and probably others) that you cannot back up.
Either pony up the "proof" or retract your charges.

So you believe that Jews are automatically "chosen" no matter what?
And to say otherwise is to "bash" Judaism?
If I tell you that you are a sinner and need to repent, is that [FILL IN THE NAME OF YOUR RELIGION] bashing?

Facts don't seem to get in the way of a good "bashing." what a victim LOL - what a persecuted lot - youve learned the game plan well.
Rather, the "facts" get in the way of ignorance. You folk will silence anyone or anything that does not address your doctrine in a manner YOU consider to be acceptable.
Call it bashing long enough and that is what the masses will believe.
Are we forbidden from critically looking at your doctrine or Catholic doctrine or protestant doctrine on the RELIGION threads?
Hmmm - thats odd - It was my assumption we were to discuss things religious, not just your party line
You really are at heart a posting terrorist
must go along with that kingsford heart of yours

What is your point? That YOU believe "Mormon" leaders instigated Mountain Meadows? Well, you're wrong.
Next debate, please.
You see what I mean? Your diatribes are pointless.

Go ahead, we agree with you that he was in a cult. Point of order, your honor.
"WE" do not agree that the Assemblies of God are a "cult."
For the record, most AOGs have problems with Bakker and Swaggart as well.
To: Revelation 911
"conservative till I die" said it quite well above.
You know what you did, and you know who you are.
You lie, regularly (the point about "Mountain Meadows," for instance. I know that YOU know that there is nothing to it, but it's a convenient stalking-horse for you. It is lies, but they are convenient for you, so you put 'em up there anyway).

There is a difference though. When ex-catholics who were raised in catholic homes and attended catholic schools come on here and say they were
taught some of the things nothwithstanding listed, they are called liars, or stupid, or that they came from a bad time in catholic teaching and now should just forget all that, etc.
I was taught to worship Mary, I was taught NOT to read the bible, I was taught if you are not catholic you will go to hell, and a lot more of what is now called misconceptions about the catholic faith.
How do you deal with that? Is is bashing catholics, or bigotry on my part to relate the things I was taught in the 12 yrs I was in catholic schools?

Re: Never Ending Story Thread not being religious
Jam 1:26 And if any man think himself to be religious, not bridling his tongue but deceiving his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
Jam 1:27 Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.
How many threads in the religious forum can fulfill this?
To: Delphinium
Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were prophets of God, in every sense that Moses, Elijah, Ezekiel, Malachi or a host of others were.
I believe this with every fiber of my being.
If you find much wrong with that, well, I can do the same thing with your beliefs, I'm sure--though I won't, because that isn't my "thing."
I know these men were called of God. I know that Gordon B. Hinckley, the President of our Church today, is called of God, and is a Prophet of God. When he speaks, I listen, and I know that it is as if God Himself were speaking, for that is how He speaks to His Church: Through the prophets He has called.
You are welcome to believe that, or not.
One of our sacred Articles of Faith is "We claim the privilege of worshipping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege: Let them worship how, where or what they may."
I defend your right to worship as you see fit, without rude and pointless hectoring by me or anyone else.
I claim the same privilege.

I think its Israel that wants to be left alone. I don't see them sending their children as bombs to kill innocent Arabs.,or Americans as in 911, or as they are doing now in Iraq to American soldiers. If innocents die because Israel has to defend themselves, its the Arabs fault. Israel has not been over holding the Iraqi people hostage, but they are being blamed for the war, not only by the Arabs, but by people like you. Jews did not load themselves on cattlecars,(as you stated on FR) Hitler did.

You are nothing more than a baby really
Admit it and leave those threads that upset you
You'd be doing everyone a favor
As for your comments regarding Gods favored nation (the Jews) I'll let your comments speak for themselves - because in of themselves they speak volumes to your hypocrisy

MY OPINION: Yes, I think it is incumbent upon you to desist from ranting and railing at others who maintain the religious faith that you have rejected.
I say that, knowing that my own wife was formerly a Roman Catholic.
She still has Catholic family and friends. When they discuss religion, in the end the POLITELY agree to disagree. But they maintain their loving relationship.
But beyond that, this is about PROPRIETY. This forum was not intended for the use to which you insist it be put. I think that Mr. Robinson has been quite clear on that point.

True historical fact. John Lee testified to it.

Soo... my telling that these are the things I was taught by catholic schools is ranting and railing, bashing and bigotry?

I agree that there are many crimes being committed against innocent Israelis in the name of Palestinian "independence," and it is inexcusable.
When Israel moves against terrorists, I applaud them, and consider that for the most part we are making common cause.
But Israel has, IMO, used this as a pretext for harming innocents themselves. It is no secret that they wish to take land that was taken by them in war, but which has always been inhabitted by people who in many cases had no quarrel with anyone but were unfortunate enough to be Arabs.
I personally know of a couple of such instances, and it is WRONG. It is wrong to bulldoze homes owned free and clear by Palestinian Arabs who have done nothing, but who are being victimized because Israel claims it has a right to protect itself.
If the government here insisted on doing these things within our borders, many here would scream. But it's okay if Israel does it?
I'm consistent. It isn't okay when ANYONE does this.

Jesus said following Him wouldn't be easy.
I've got (more) good news for you. Actually, ... JESUS said ... Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
BTW, congratulations on your new family member.

1. It is not incumbent on me to "refute" anything, simply because you say that it is.
It does not affect me personally if you choose not to refute information I post.
2. On those occasions when the lies that you and others constantly post ARE refuted, you simply abandon that thread and go to another. The article posted the refuted the odious crock of **** put out by the "Kingdom of the Cults" hack a couple months back is a case in point. Many were invited there to read a good refutation. One person actually posted cogent comments; the rest just made more disparaging "weather" remarks.
Ad hom. I have posted no lies. I have posted information using LDS resources. If you feel that I have lied, you should use that opportunity to refute my posts instead of attempting to attack my character. Attacking another persons character shows a lack of integrity on the part of the attacker.
3. Since you're really not about "debate" as in an exchange of conflicting ideas, and only want to argue so that you yourself can "win" (at least in your own mind), what is the point? Not everyone shares your hobby.
Ad hom. Are you also a mind reader?

C'mon Corin, remember your recent history: Swaggart and Bakker were "given the right foot of fellowship" (kicked out) by the Assemblies of God. This was an act of COURAGE in light of the amount of $$$ Swaggart was giving to the Assemblies, earning the applause and "Halleluia" of This Calvinist.

"Theologically and doctrinally."
I guess this uniform "theology and doctrine" is why there are more than 700 Christian sects in the world--not even counting the scads of non-denominational churches that sprout like toadstools after a rainstorm.
Big deal. So you don't agree with me "theologically and doctrinally." You prove that I'm wrong, and I easily prove that YOU are wrong.
You say I "add to" the scriptures; I say you don't even use the ones you have.
BlahBlahBlahBlah.
Who cares?
Pointless.
