Bush is a wise president. He is good at what he does. JnPII is not a wise pope. He is not good at what he does--for the reasons I have often enumerated.

You have failed to enumerate why Bush is a wise president. You have enumerated why he is a wise politician but most people vote for a president to accomplish specific goals not just get re-elected.

It has to do with policies pursued.

True leaders are measured by policies accomplished not policies pursued.

All right. Here are a few accomplishments: he has won the war in Afghanistan, liberated its oppressed people, took out the Al Qaeda stronghold and eliminated the Taliban tyranny, effectively blocked Al Qaeda operations and set up a massive domestic bureaucracy specifically designed to protect the nation against terrorism, won a tax-reduction battle with the Congress, thereby cutting taxes for the next ten years--the largest tax reduction for Americans in history--beefed up the military and the salaries of the military, brought dignity and morality back to the Oval Office--and he's only been in office for two years. And all this is just off the top of my head. It doesn't include his political genius which for the first time in recent history has enabled a president to win a midterm election, turning leadership of both houses of Congress to the President's own party, giving hope to pro-life forces who look to favorable nominations to the federal courts. But to me his wisdom has most of all been shown in the choice of his cabinet. Never in modern history has a president had such a roster of experienced professionals at his side. You should get down on your knees every day thanking God for this, and that we don't have the likes of Janet Reno and Richard Cohen and Madeline Albright at the helm in such a time of great danger.

One thing guys like you don't understand. Bush is being judged by the American public by one yardstick only--and it is not the one you imagine. That is to say, he is going to be judged not by what bills he passes or how great the economy is. He is going to be judged by how well he has been protecting the country against those who would harm us by horrific means, including the use of weapons of mass destruction. In this he has been nothing short of brilliant. We can all be thankful there has not been a catastrophe since 9/11, thanks to George Bush who knew intuitively how to galvanize the nation and take the fight to our enemies. George W. Bush doesn't just talk--he makes things happen. That's the great difference between him and his blowhard predecessor.

OK. I give up. Are you Jeb, Marvin, or Neil. My guess is Jeb because he's the only one who's Catholic.

In all seriousness, you should sit back and read what you are writing. You might end up on some secret service list as a potential stalker.

Have you forgotten what happened on September 11, 2001? Tell the families who lost loved one's in the WTC or Pentagon how well protected their loved ones were. To call this "nothing short of brilliant" indicates that you have lost all ability to reason. The hero worship is pathetic and borders on idolatry.

Bush was in office all of eight months when September 11th happened. To charge him with what was clearly the dereliction of the previous eight years of Clintonism is not only ridiculous, but evidence of your callowness in world affairs. You need to do a little reading before you make unfounded accusations. For example, Clinton himself put Gore in charge of an airport security task force to defend against terrorism. Nothing came of any of it--like much else in that administration. Clinton had clear warnings terrorists were marking out this nation for major strikes after the first World Trade Center bombing. He fired a few cruise missals at a terrorist camp in Afghanistan and then forgot about the problem. Clinton was given a heads up on taking out Osama after our embassies were bombed by him--but he was too busy with Monica to follow through. If you don't know any of this, you need to open up your mind a little. Bush was still in the process of setting-up his administration when 9/11 hit.
