"So then God determined that Man was to sin and Man is responsible for it?" I think that is a bit too simplistic and incomplete way of putting it. Being incomplete (i.e. without emphasizing man's actual sinning activity and man's responsibility), it seems to be worded to emphasize the philisophical objections you have noted before.
Let me ask this question:
Was it God's will for Christ to die on the cross?
