Father Pro made a huge impression on me when I was a kid. Any word on when he will be sainted?

No, I know that his cause is being supported by various groups, and that he has acheived the first step in the process by being called "blessed," but other than that I am unsure.

"As he was led to death, one of the police men responsible for his capture asked for his forgiveness which Father Pro freely gave."
Been involved in some tough situations, but I can only pray that I would show the courage, compassion and complete faith in God that Father Miguel Pro did at that moment.
Wonderful post, thank you and may God Bless.

Not mentioned in the article is that even after they had killed him, the executioner came up close and shot him in the head. I have never been able to understand that kind of evil. Unbelievable hatred. =(

It's difficult to believe a person capable of something that disgusting, demeaning, and unnecessary could have a conscience. And he did this after Father Pro had already forgiven him. I can't comprehend such hatred.

I may never comprehend such evil acts, but no matter how hard the executioner tried to kill Father Pro and everything about him -- he utterly failed. And in the mansion prepared for Father Pro by the Lord, he has been working non-stop for the Holy Faith and for his people here on earth fighting the good fight for Jesus the King and for Holy Mother Church.

It wasn't the same person who he forgave. It was the person who was charged with firing on him. I guess to make sure he was REALLY REALLY dead, he had to shoot father Pro in the head after he had already been riddled with bullets. No matter, Siobhan is right. Blessed Father Pro sits at the right hand of God.
