The full hijab is not a religious statement. It is more a statement of the persecution, rape, and murder of women under the guise of religion. There is nothing Godly about the way these women live or the way they are treated. They are denied basic medical care because "a male doctor cannot touch or look upon them." BS. The culture hates women. Their corruption of religion borders on evil. No, it doesn't border on evil, it IS evil! Go to Afghanistan and feed this stuff to the women there. Tell them the horror they undergo is 'willed by Allah'.
In my "liberal" state, I frequently see Muslim women out fully covered except for their faces. Fine, if that's what they want. BUT, and read my words carefully, when a woman is BEATEN OR KILLED in a foreign country for not wearing this tarp (which is nearly impossible to function safely in), it's no longer religious. It's an evil act of hatred perpetuated by very sick human beings.
Perhaps a Saint Francis of Assisi could disrobe himeslf before the bishop, and you are free to do so, too. We won't be holding our breaths, though.
There you go. You disprove your own argument. Muslim women in California wearing the veil willingly and conducting themselves modestly in your state, and probably driving down the boulevard unescorted, too, and they're probably smiling, and contented, perhaps more so than you are. Should we now discount the Christian pastors who cruelly abuse their wives and children? Or consider that fact as a hallmark or aberration of Christianity?

I am, however, saying that your understanding of Islam is infected with Marxist and Feminist thinking...If it makes you feel better, it's a common problem since Marxists and Feminists have come to occupy the great heights of "Western" culture. Marxism and Feminism is our cultural wallpapering.

Let's see. Our culture raises girls to become sexual adventurers, regardless of consequences and abortioners should the "need" arise. It induces in them bulemia, annorexia, and all other sorts of neuroses. It compels them to compete with men (their future husbands) for schools, jobs, promotions. Then it tells them that they are failures if they haven't "got it all" by age 35. It inundates them and their children with a popular culture that encourages them, in essence, to behave as homosexual men behave. And finally, if they are lucky enough to come into middle age with their sanity intact, there is always the prospect of Breast Cancer striking one in 9 of them or of facing a "no-fault" divorce in a dozen or so states. And our culture celebrates women?
No, I think that the average Muslim woman might take a pass on the "paradise" built for them by Gloria Steinem, Larry Flynt, Planned Parenthood, and Cosmopolitan.
Yes, it does. And we should be surprised since they are our cousins in Abraham.
Before Sept. 11, I used to imagine that the Muslims might someday help us recover our own faith. That seems a distant dream now, as our Materialist masters gear up to destroy the Muslims before finishing off what's left of us.
