I'm not claiming he's a prophet. What I fail to understand is, with all of the praise for Calvin's theological views that goes on among you Calvinists, why you don't call him one yourselves. You certainly treat his theological views as though they came from one.
But it occurs to me that only Calvin is singled out for this personal trashing.
I never see any Lutherans on FR demanding an apology to all Lutherans from someone who disagrees with Luther. I never see any Methodists arguing over Wesley's theological viewpoints. But the Calivinist contingent on FR is a pretty vocal bunch about how Calvin got it right and everybody else got it wrong.
If Calvin's being singled out for "trashing", it's simply a "squeaky wheel gets the grease" phenomonon, from my standpoint.

Frankly, many folks calling themselves "Christian" would never reveal their name on here. They are moral cowards and spiritual reprobates who hide behind the anonimity of screen names and use FReepmail to insult, slander, slur and attack, or defend vociferously the slanderous sinful behavior of their peers.
They are not Christian, and their eternal salvation is in jeopardy not for their erroneous theology but their grave unrepented sins.
No please do not do that ..the Mormons are pretty decent folks..they do not call names..but they have to understand that IF they choose to post with us we will hold their doctrine up to scrutiny just as they do ours

It seems as if rest is hiding behind Rev's skirt and defending the "humping frothing dogs" comment and the "animals" comment. I bet that if I started calling the mormons I meet "animals" and "humping frothing dogs" they would not consider it to be respectful. And yet, rest, declares that to call Calvinists such things is to be respectful.

You need to understand that when you resort to personal attacks and your constant harping that Calvinism is a "construct" you will be met with the Historical truth that Arminianism is a "druggie" born of a lie from the pit of Hell and given through the "Jesuit-colombian" connection specifically to split the reformation.
If you want to stick to scripture then fine. Unfortunately, you want to call Calvinist "humped up frothing dogs" and call us "animals." I am tired for there are nice Christians here who like to share and reason with one another, who respect one another in their differents.
Than I read this on another post and find it fits to a "T",how uncharitable in the name of God they are drunk on pride,selfrightousness!

Is there some reason to censor somebody for merely attempting to defend themselves from such attacks? Or is it only because I'm not behaving like a Revelation 911 and complaining about it? Is this the behaviour that I should emulate? I need to know so I can know what is acceptable on FR.
The point is not how evil unregenerate man is, the point is that according to Calvinism everything that happens happens because it is God's directive will.
That passage is saying otherwise. God did not want those children murdered.

No, the problem with you is you refuse to reconcile scriptures rather then ignore them. God in His Sovereignity gave free will and factored the free will decisions of man into His Plan. God does know the end from the beginnng and does have everything under perfect control. However, sin and death were not what God wanted but what God dealt with since both Angel and man had rejected perfect happiness originally offered. God in His infinite wisdom and love has taken those rejections into account and by becoming part of the creation itself, created a far greater plan then could ever be imagined (1Cor.2:9)
