In April, prior to being BANNED from Meta (FB and IG) in June for their knowing I would call out sexual deviancy activism, I was blocked by a minister's wife at First Baptist North Spartanburg for publicly questioning their Palm Sunday service labeled "Watch the Lamb," named for a song from Mr. Boltz. The service was a drama and that song from the artist was sung during the service. I ended up blocked and later banned.
In one instance after the 2008 admission, when I saw the service bulletin at church announce Mr. Boltz's "The Hammer" would be performed by a church singer with the karaoke machine, I walked out and headed to a friend's church. There are lines of demarcation that I do not cross. Singing Mr. Boltz's song crossed the line because of how royalties are involved.
My decision to call out Mr. Boltz's material fit with the Albert Moher 2013 column, "Thinking About Thinking About Rap". With apologies to Mr. Mohler, the artist in question may have had great music in the past, but his worldview and betrayal of his wife in favour of another man makes his material clearly inappropriate for Christian worship. But the leadership at church said, "(Mr. Mohler is) a Calvinist, ignore him" and they found no fault to using inappropriate material (and it's that case today with singing Hillsong, Elevation, and Bethel music, along with playing music from defrocked artists such as Michael Tait).
That 2008 case made his material inappropriate. Just recently, the GMA Dove Awards posted throwback material featuring DC Talk -- after the Michael Tait scandal broke out. In another case, someone posted if he could find the karaoke accompaniment for "Go Light Your World," a 1993 Christopher M. Rice composed hit. I responded Mr. Rice's material was inappropriate for church use following the 2022 Tates Creek PCA Report exposed Mr. Rice as a sex offender grooming youth in church. Prior to my FB ban, I removed the song ENTIRELY from my page to send a statement sex offenders aren't welcome.
The "wedding" is illegal the majority of states by the book as passed, including Florida and South Carolina. He exchanged truth for a lie. And I was the one called out for reporting how inappropriate his material was.

But if the singer (or whoever) is loud and proud about their sin (homosexuality or otherwise), then I have problems with him having influence in God's church.

My daughter was married by a lesbian preacher. I told her you’re not married in God’s eyes. I didn’t want to be there, but I had to for my daughter. They have since divorced.

The crappy website’s article never bothered to tell us what GMA stands for. To me, it is ABC’s “Good Morning America”. But for the story, it stands for “Gospel Music Association (GMA)”.

He’s 72 y/o....could be dementia focusing on whatever sticks in his brain. Both of them look like they are a bit confused and somewhat stunted...
I had a neighbor in FL who was married for 36 years. Had two children and was a highly successful MD and businessman. We were guests at his home and had dinner with him and his wife 10 times. He seemed a little effeminate, and perhaps overly obsessed with working out at the gym, but... whatever. I found it quite plausible that they had a good marriage based on what I could observe.
One day, another neighbor mentioned that moving vans had been in front of his house, and it seemed that the wife had moved out.
We had the same cleaning person, who was a vector of information, and ultimately she let us know that the neighbor told his wife that he was gay, and she bailed instantaneously. He ended up dying shortly thereafter, after the divorce. The way things worked out she gave up on $9M of additional distribution she would have received if she had still been married to him when he died.
Just shocking to me that someone could have done that act for 36 years, but it takes all kinds, I suppose.

I always wonder how big a part porn plays in sucking people into homosexuality. The start with the tame stuff and eventually it gets less tame and more perverse and pretty soon you’ve reprogrammed yourself into being a pervert.
Even in the world of gospel music, there are just as many temptations of the flesh as with secular music. It’s the pull of fame, surrounded by people fawning over you, telling you you’re all that and a bag of chips. And like any creative endeavor, it’s got the requisite amount of gays. The devil is all evil, and he’ll use anything he can to turn people from the LORD.
