Someone please go educate this fool!
Those PCUSA blasphemers give Presbyterians a bad name.
The PCUSA abandoned Christ decades ago.
They’re inclusive of everybody except Bible believing Christians. The deity of Jesus Christ is at the heart of the gospel. PCUSA might as well unite with the unitarians. They are sounding more and more like them.
PCUSA has been liberal ever since I have known about them in the mid 90s.
These buffoons are fighting to out-apostate each other. They have become bores. đ´
â The deity of Jesus Christ is at the heart of the gospelâ
Exactly!
Anyone on the âChristian Leftâ is not a true believer but a heretic.
Well, actually believing in God is an improvement over the PCUSA pastor who stated he was an atheist, but â culturally ChristianââŚ
The PCUSA has no standards for its clergy.
If Jesus was merely a man his atonement for sin as a sacrifice was in vain. The Cross would not be a divine act of God’s sacrifice.
Sad.
May they enjoy their eternal existence separated from the God they deny/refuse/hate.
Their own choice.
Jesus himself said he was GOD at least 7 times if memory serves; every I AM statement was him expressing exactly that.
Go back a lot further more like the 60’s
Sure, I was just saying when I first was aware of them.
I heard a Catholic priest preach the same thing when I was about 14=15.
When he said it, there was an audible gasp from the people.
He was a young guy who was brought in to work with the youth and he was quite popular.
Until the after which he was disappeared VERY quickly.
Yet he remains a “pastor”. !!!
A Presbyterian who went to a Baptist seminary. The church is close to UNC-G so must be liberal to survive
Jesus is the son of God. God is God.
Jesus’ Claims of Divinity:
Indirect Claims in the Gospels:
Jesus did not explicitly say, “I am God,” but he made several claims that imply his divinity. In the Gospel of John, he states, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30), which his contemporaries understood as a claim to equality with God. Their reaction was to accuse him of blasphemy, indicating they recognized the significance of his words
